Gollie Charm

My popular little "Gollie  Charm" quilt (approx 24x26"). Designed and made in 1996. 

In fact mine was so popular it was stolen from my shop. 

The sample shown here was very generously made under the cover of darkness by my friend Jean O'Connor who  surprised me with this  replacement.

 Patterns are $15.40 and kits which include all fabrics, threads and fusible web are now available with red, green or blue borders. Kits $66.00.

Friends like flowers, grow with love

'An oldie but a goodie'- "Friends like flowers, grow with love" is a small quilt (35cm x 43cm) made entirely by hand- great for a beginner/child or someone who doesn't have a sewing machine. Kit contains everything except the tied buttons on the binding.

Afraid to start ? Boy Gollies

Ring a Ring of Roses

Ring a run o' Roses is approx 120cm  X 192 cm

It features a central panel in the Baltimore style - although it is buttonhole stitched with the added reverse buttonhole stitch adding extra textural effect to the flowers and leaves. 

Pieced hearts and gollie appliqués surround this panel followed by saw tooth borders,  and of course the gollies falling down (as in the traditional rhyme)  in the outer borders. 

Pattern: $17.60

Kit: 

Although some fabrics may differ, the overall red white and green still prevail. 

I also have a couple of kits in pinks, purples and green.

I somehow got carried away catching up with what I thought was quilts lacking labels- so promptly made one for this, fused it on, and lo and behold it already had a label of a different kind in the opposite corner. 

Now to blanket stitch it in position. Might as well have both. 

Playhouse Gollies

Finally photographed, my latest quilt is called Playhouse Gollies.

It's been a mystery quilt, but now fully revealed, the full pattern for this  5 part Bom will be out next week.

Playhouse gollies stage 3

Playhouse gollies stage 3 is now complete. Sorry for the delay on this - due to a few physical issues that prevented me from doing much ( and sometimes no) stitching.

Bom stages are $58.30 and include everything for the quilt top and binding , including threads buttons and fusible web. 

This stage can also be a stand alone pattern @$16.50 but is not available as a stand alone kit, as, as well as new fabrics being supplied in this stage, you need to rely on fabrics which have been supplied in earlier stages. 

Playhouse gollies is a 5 stage Bom. All stages are priced the same.

This is a mystery quilt which will be revealed by the 5th stage.

This stage involves two blocks, both of which will be added to in later stages.

Beachside Bears...and Ship Ahoy Gollies

Beachside Bears and Ship Ahoy Gollies are both within this pattern, as if not buying a kit you need to replace the beach house fabric.

Pattern:$17.60.

For those purchasing a pattern, there is no pattern for the beach sheds as this fabric has a copyright on it. There are however, alternative ideas for making the borders e.g. the Gollie version shown. The pattern also contains a full alphabet in upper and lower case.

Kit: $110- one kit with both patterns- which includes all fabrics for quilt top and binding including threads, fusible web and buttons.

If buying a kit, please nominate the bear or gollie version.

unfortunately the colors are not true here. The most true  colors are the bear quilt. The gollie quilt is a more teal color- closer to the colors on the pattern pack above.
