R is for Robot

Just received my Robot quilt from the quilter - beautifully quilted by Geoff Coates. 

Looks like I'll be wanting a cool night to stitch down the binding. Then I can say one UFO is finished in 2018 !!!! 

Kits available at Li'l Bloke's - border and binding fabrics may differ to those shown. 

Several options available. 

Made from a pattern by Janelle Wind with some variations 

(4 robots instead of 2).

My pillow is also a variation of Janelle's small cushion.

Amelia pre fused bear

Amelia Bear is approx 6&1/2" and all ready to press to your background and stitch. 

Faces are painted and just need an ecru French knot in each eye. 

Detail lines are also drawn for added embroidery stitches  to enhance this  little bear. 

Price: $13.50 per bear 

Each bear comes packaged and includes instructions to complete. 

Honey Bun and Small Honey Bun quilts

Small Honey Bun (21&1/2" x 23&1/2")  and Honey Bun  (approx 29" square) quilts available as patterns or kits. 

Fabrics will be as close as possible but as these quilts were made in 1995 there will be some changes. 

I will confirm kit prices asap. 

Patterns- small $17.60 and large $19.25 are full sized including layout. 

  

Zoe pre fused bear

Zoe - pre fused bear all ready to fuse with your iron to your chosen background. 

Zoe is 25 cm tall. 

Zoe's facial features have been drawn in with a black pigma pen, and shading has been added where necessary to the face and shoe  soles. Just  add a  French knot with ecru thread to each eye to add sparkle, then buttonhole stitch all the raw edges,  adding detail with backstitch for creases in clothing etc. (which have been pencilled in). 

Price: $15.00

Price for Zoe and Wee bear is $20.50 (Wee bear being 12 cm tall). 

Various color ways available. 

 

 

Bears and Dollies

Five appliqued bear blocks interspersed with four log cabin blocks, bordered with stripped pieces form this lap quilt.

Pattern: $23.10

Kit: $165

Kit contains all fabrics  for the quilt top including threads and fusible web.

Ring a Ring of Roses

Ring a run o' Roses is approx 120cm  X 192 cm

It features a central panel in the Baltimore style - although it is buttonhole stitched with the added reverse buttonhole stitch adding extra textural effect to the flowers and leaves. 

Pieced hearts and gollie appliqués surround this panel followed by saw tooth borders,  and of course the gollies falling down (as in the traditional rhyme)  in the outer borders. 

Pattern: $17.60

Kit: 

Although some fabrics may differ, the overall red white and green still prevail. 

I also have a couple of kits in pinks, purples and green.

Playhouse gollies stage 3

Playhouse gollies stage 3 is now complete. Sorry for the delay on this - due to a few physical issues that prevented me from doing much ( and sometimes no) stitching.

Bom stages are $58.30 and include everything for the quilt top and binding , including threads buttons and fusible web. 

This stage can also be a stand alone pattern @$16.50 but is not available as a stand alone kit, as, as well as new fabrics being supplied in this stage, you need to rely on fabrics which have been supplied in earlier stages. 

Playhouse gollies is a 5 stage Bom. All stages are priced the same.

Libby's mystery Block 5

Pic shows Libby's original block. My block will be photographed close to the end of this week.

My block is nearing completion as are my kits for this stage which are $43.20. 

Kits contain all fabrics, threads, fusible web and buttons. 

The Toy Shelf

Finally getting around to putting this together after painting the panel about 6 years ago, and almost finishing the embroidery.

Having fun making the scrappy blocks. Hopefully this pic will be replaced soon with one that is fully stitched and pressed!!!

Red Briar Farm

Perfectly suitable for the animal lover or child from a farm. This quilt shows wonderful characters and machinery from the farm, set in an easily pieced design.

Nursery Quilt

A gorgeous quilt for that special youngster which shows off the fantastic drawings by Bronwyn Hayes.

Approx 39 x 40" this would make a lovely cot  quilt,  wall hanging or floor quilt. 

Constructed using the fusible web appliqué technique and simple machine piecing.
